As part of the British Library, the UK Web Archive's objective is to preserve web sites and their web pages. Using crawl engine technology the UK Web Archive takes snapshopts of web pages at any given time thereby building an archive of web pages. This archive can be used to research a given activity in UK history or to demonstrate the evolution of a web site. The archive is freely available to the public and is accessed through the public website.
Working with the lead developer Stephen Johnson, and ensuring that the management team and curators objectives were effectively communicated, Amy Varga was responsible for the complete redesign and development of the UK Web Archive website.
