I worked on the Magento E-commerce platform, skinning the shopping pages to meet approved designs and functionality.
I was contracted for 5 weeks to redesign and develop the UK Web Archive website so that it better communicates the UK Web Archive objectives of providing a public portal to the archive as well as promoting their efforts in preserving UK websites for future reference. The website is built on a JAVA platform and uses Freemarker templates. Its XHTML pages are validating, standards compliant and browser compatible. I was responsible for the design and front end web development of the Rocklands Boulders website. I continue to manage the Rocklands Boulders website and am responsible for its ongoing improvement. Rocklands Boulders is built on a PHP / Codeigniter CMS. Its XHTML pages are validating, standards compliant and browser compatible. The website uses jQuery and AJAX to improve usablity and is integrated with PayPal for facilitating online payment. View showcase
BT Fresca is the e-commerce division of BT Expedite, the retail specialist division within BT, they are responsible for producing some of the UK's leading e-commerce retail websites.
As part of the web development team I worked on the implementation of validating, standards compliant, browser compatible and accessible XHTML pages using JSTL and Apache Struts to meet approved designs and functionality. jQuery and AJAX were used to improve the users experience, however alway with accessible alternatives.
